Spice Bros
Website, self-service menu backend, and local SEO for a Hamilton takeaway restaurant — live in two weeks.
The Challenge
Spice Bros had no web presence — no way for hungry locals to find their menu, hours, or location online, and no way to show up in Google or 'near me' searches against established Hamilton takeaways. Every menu change would normally mean calling a developer.
A Local Takeaway, Built to Be Found
Spice Bros is a takeaway restaurant in Hamilton serving fresh, healthy, and gluten-free-friendly food. Before this project, the business had no website — customers found it by word of mouth or by walking past, with no way to check the menu or hours online, and no presence in Google search or Maps.
Menu Backend, Not a Static Page
Most small-restaurant sites ship as static pages, meaning every price change or new dish means a call to a developer. Instead, Spice Bros got a private admin panel: menu items, prices, and availability are edited directly by the owner, with changes going live instantly. A QR code on tables and packaging points straight to the live digital menu, so it's never out of date.
SEO Built In, Not Bolted On
Technical SEO — schema markup for restaurant, local business, and menu data, an auto-generated sitemap, and Core Web Vitals optimisation — was part of the initial build rather than an afterthought. On top of that, a Google Business Profile and Maps optimisation pass was done at launch so the business shows up in "near me" and local search, alongside 10 blog articles targeting search terms like "gluten free restaurant Hamilton" and "healthy takeaway Hamilton".
Two-Week Turnaround
From receiving the client's menu, photos, and business details, the full site — design, menu backend, SEO, and blog content — was built, reviewed, and launched within two weeks.
Our Solution
We built a custom website with a full menu, gallery, and QR-code menu access, backed by a simple admin panel so the owner can add, edit, or remove menu items and prices himself — no developer required. Technical SEO (schema markup, sitemap, Core Web Vitals) and a Google Business Profile / Maps setup were built in from day one, paired with 10 SEO-optimised blog articles targeting local and gluten-free search terms.
